The Iliad was written by Homer, about 2700 years ago. Along with the Indian and Sumerian Epics, it belongs to the world cultural heritage. While the Kathakali Dance Theatre portrays the characters of The Mahabharata and The Ramayana, it now brings to the stage those of The Iliad, with their world of feats, their ethics, and poetry. |
