1. C. Gopalakrishnan participated in Richard Tremblay's research on The Iliad prior to its premiere, in 1988.
 
2. In 1981, K. Gopalakrishnan was invited to Montreal by Richard Tremblay on a four month stay with L'Institut de Kathakali (Kathakali Opus IX) for conferences, demonstrations, and he appeared with Richard Tremblay in performances on a tour of Canada. K. Gopalakrishnan also danced in The Iliad (1988) playing the part of Achilles.
